During my artist residency, it rained and rained for the entire Obon holidays. As I cleaned the house, my attention turned to the mold. Light and cloud-like, I thought of all the beautiful things that come from death and decomposition.
In a dresser tucked carefully between Ms. Sato's kimono, I found this book on women's health and childbirth. This book and her husband still remain here, and I find something exquisitely beautiful in seeing them together.

佐藤家のための歌
アートレジデンシーの間、お盆はずっと雨が降っていました。家の掃除をしながら私の関心はカビに向かっていました。軽くて雲のようで、死と分解から生まれるすべての美しいものについて考えました。
たんすの中の、佐藤さんの着物の間にしまい込まれていたのは、女性の健康と出産に関するこの本でした。この本と佐藤さんのご主人は今でもここに残っていて、一緒に見ると何とも言えない美しさを感じます。
